## Update on my Fairphone 6 installation.

Although e/OS commes with it's own degoogled apps, I ended up doing my own thing because I'm annoying like that.

## MicroG

Installed by default, it enables many apps that seek google services to work without connecting to google.
Try not to add a real google account, as this can nullify the benefits of having a de-googled phone. 

## App stores

Murena's App Lounge works as long as you deactivate PersonalDNSFilter while using it.
I also use F-Droid with Droidify and Aurora Store:

## Fossify

I started by installing the fossify apps and using the fossify launcher. The default Bliss launcher is pretty but I'm more of a functional guy. I also like rows of 5 icons instead of 4.

Contacts are invisible to other non-fossify apps, which prevents apps like Whatsapp from vacuuming them without your consent.
Ah yes, Whatsapp. Unfortunately it's the only messenging app my family will use, so I'm stuck with it.

The Fossify Camera app is in beta, it works fine but doesn't detect the wide angle lens on my Fairphone 6

## Personaldnsfilter

Personaldnsfilter blocks hosts preventing tracking and adverts. It has default settings but I like to use Sebastian Sauvage's list:

## Spamblocker

Spamblocker is a caller identifier and blocker. It doesn't have a default block list, but suggests Phoneblock for Europe.

Start by creating a free account with Phoneblock
