French military prepares for Russian confrontation

The  general Fabien  Mandon, highest  grade officer  of the  French
armed forces, told  the defense commission that France  needs to be
prepared for a military confrontation with Russia within the next 3
to 4 years.

At 68 I'm  too old to take part  in any of this, I  can only suffer
the consequences. However  it makes me think about how  much I rely
on large external services. For example, I shudder to think of what
an AI  run web and social  media will become in  a war environment.

It's pretty obvious  that simple domestic text based  servers are a
solution for  circumventing mass  media control and  acessing local
information. While some  of these too might  be ridiculously biased
at  least we'll  have the  choice,  something war  time mass  media
certainly won't give you.

I'm not a "prepper", just thinking about my own corner of the woods
and how my interests  might turn out ot be very  usefull in such an
environment. In fact it should be very usefull right now.
