To get this  to  link nicely  in  Gopher  and  Lynx  I  created  an  
m3u  playlist file named jazzradio.m3u:

 #EXTM3U
 #EXTINF:-1,"Jazzradio.fr Jazz & Soul"
 https://jazzradio.ice.infomaniak.ch/jazzradio-high.mp3

When this playlist is linked in a gophermap as a sound file,  it is
handled in my mailcap as audio/x-mpegurl:

 ...
 audio/x-mpegurl; setsid mpv --playlist=%s >/dev/null 2>&1 &
 ...

In .config/mpv/mpv.conf I have:
 ...
 script-opts=osc-visibility=always
 geometry=1068x600
 ontop 
 idle=yes
 force-window=yes
 ...
 
My DWM configuration sets mpv windows to be floating and  centered,
(center patch) so that it acts like a pop up when I'm in Lynx.

In dwm/config.def.h
